How to Refurbish or Upgrade the Trim on Your KCIC Christmas Ornament

We make every effort to use the best quality trim and decorations on our ornaments. However, there are times when a product we trust simply does not live up to the manufacturers claims. And, periodically, we upgrade the quality of the trim or accessories included with the ornaments. If you want to change out your ornament, we will refurbish or upgrade it free of charge. 

How Do I Get a Free Upgrade or Refurbishing?

To qualify you must first follow these steps:

  1. Be registered KCIC Ornament collector! If you received an ornament from KCIC in the mail, you are already registered. If you received it from another source and did not send back the Registration card, then you are not registered. You can enclose the completed Card with the ornament. Or, register your ornament here.

  2. Call or e-mail KCIC Ornaments to get a Return Merchandise Authorization number - 1.888.539.2884.

Following is a list of the current upgrade/refurb offers:

Gold Paint Trim

The original bright gold paint we used to trim some of our ornaments has faded in a few cases. If your ornament paint trim is no longer a bright gold and you want it refurbished, send the ornament back to KCIC. We will repaint and return it free of charge.

How do I get my ornament refurbished?

  1. E-mail us for a Return Merchandise Authorization number or call 1.888.539.2884.

  2. Print out the Refurbishing Request Form and fill it out completely.

  3. Write your RMA number on the form. 

  4. Carefully pack your ornament, enclose the completed Refurbishing Request form and send it all to KCIC Ornaments.

  5. We will repaint the ornament, upgrade your bow if necessary and send it back free of charge. 

New bows for pre-2000 "Prophecy" ornaments

In 1998 and 1999, KCIC "Prophecy" ornaments were trimmed with a velveteen bow. In 2000, we upgraded the quality to a beautiful, imported velvet with a deep, soft nap and richer-looking burgundy color. The ornament stand, ornament gift box and storage box remain gold.

How do I get a new "Prophecy" bow?

  1. E-mail a request for the new bow with instructions for placing it on the ornament. OR, send us your ornament. To send:

  2. E-mail a request for an RMA to upgrade your ornament.

  3. Print out the Refurbishing Request Form and fill it out completely. 

  4. Write your RMA number on the form. 

  5. Carefully pack your ornament, enclose the completed Refurbishing Request form and send it all to KCIC Ornaments.

  6. We will upgrade your bow and send it back free of charge. 

New bows for 2000 "Fulfilled" ornaments

In 2001 we discovered that deep blue or purple used at Advent symbolizes royalty or the King for whom we wait at Christmas. Concurrently, the Christmas product industry began to promote navy blue and silver for holiday decorating. So, we changed the "Fulfilled" bow and packaging accessories from hunter green to an elegant navy blue. The ornament stand, ornament gift box and storage box remain silver.

How do I get a new "Fulfilled" bow?

Ornaments with the green bow must be returned to us for refurbishing because these bows are secured. To send back your ornament:

  1. E-mail a request for an RMA to upgrade your ornament.

  2. Print out the Refurbishing Request Form and fill it out completely. 

  3. Write your RMA number on the form. 

  4. Carefully pack your ornament, enclose the completed Refurbishing Request form and send it all to KCIC Ornaments.

  5. We will upgrade your bow and send it back free of charge.

After you obtain an RMA, pack the ornament carefully, enclose the completed Refurbishing Request form and send it all to:
